Whoa, It's Been A Time....

So much has happened! How are you?

Hope to find you well and starting to feel like a human again after that whirlwind pandemic. What have you been up to?

What, for us?

Well...

It's happening!!

After all of this research, reading, job hunting, volunteering, working, saving, doing, dreaming, meeting, drinking!, playing, sweating, gardening, canning, cooking, baking, watching, waiting, wading, fishing, gathering, harvesting, planting, watering, drying, planning, and all of the other gerunds, we are GOING!!

June 5th we wave bye-bye to Portland and head East. Oneonta New York or BUST!! David has earned a position with a healthcare system in the area and we will be renting for a couple of months while we find ourselves a home.

What we are looking for: AT LEAST 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 car garage on 2+ acres. Does this exist in upstate for less than 800K, you ask, if you are used to Portland prices? YES!! We are so dang excited to settle in a home where our doggies can run and run and run (well, Leo will run, Rowdy will do a light jog) and us humans can pursue the goals of self-sufficiency and personal fulfillment that we have been working towards for nearly 4 years.

This is a short post as I must get back to packing and see if I can find something for dinner that doesn't require any pots or pans that I already sold at the garage sale... but we do hope that you will follow along our journey with us.
